For one week only (10 – 16 December), take part in an enchanting and immersive experience unfolding throughout Leeds city centre.
Innovative theatre company, Riptide, will present THE LOST PRESENT: UNEXPECTED MAGIC, an interactive treasure hunt for all ages.
Participants begin with the simple scenario:
“You are given a present.
But it is addressed to someone else.
Someone who has lost the spirit of Christmas.
Can you be the one to return it to its rightful place?”
Audiences are given a map of the city and set off on their mission. Follow this sensory journey and make your own festive potion, deliver lost Christmas cards to secret locations, and share your Christmas wishes. Curiosity will be rewarded with unexpected magic and treats along the way.
Small Narnia-like sets have been created as audiences enter extraordinary and enchanting worlds during their own immersive family adventure. The Lost Present trail visits iconic city centre locations, as participants set off on an interactive quest to restore the spirit of Christmas.
Commissioned by LeedsBID (Leeds Business Improvement District) and Arts Council England as part of the lights and tree trail for the city this Christmas, The Lost Present is a festive experience that combines the magic of theatre with the spirit of Christmas.
The Lost Present is recommended for families with children aged 5+ but is open to all. The experience can be carried out in one go (lasting around one hour including walking between locations) or taken at your own pace, and in stages, once tickets are collected.
